Here at Frisky Girl Farm we believe in growing healthy food to build healthy bodies. We strive to bring the freshest sustainable produce to all of our members and want everyone to enjoy eating tasty food grown with the earth in mind.

Eating is a communal activity and we want to bring everyone into our community. Sharing a meal can be a way to connect to the earth, to culture, and to those around you. We believe deeply in caring for the planet and yourself. That's why we never use any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers or chemicals that could damage the earth or your body.

We also strive to bring more beauty into this world with fresh cut flower bouquets. Food nourishes your body and flowers nourish your soul.

Each and every day we're out here growing food for the ones we love, join us in a new way of eating and a new way of life!

Ashley loves food.  She is a Master Gardener, a Master Composter/Soil Builder, and has a Certificate in Organic Agriculture from WSU. Ashley spent 2011 working for Growing Things Farm in Carnation, WA.  Since then she has spent time volunteering with the Seattle Tilth and teaches composting throughout Seattle.

Farmers Ellen and Ashley joined forces in 2016 to run City Grown Seattle, and now these two are growing big with Frisky Girl Farm!

Ellen Scheffer grew up in Whitefish, Montana where her parents cultivated in her a love of the outdoors and gardening. After realizing a passion for farming during college, Ellen spent time working on sustainable vegetable farms in Oregon, Michigan, Montana, Vermont, and on One Leaf Farm in Snohomish, WA.
