We're Hiring

We're Hiring: Join Our Growing Farm Team!

We are seeking three experienced farmers to join our team for the 2025 season! Farming is challenging but incredibly rewarding work, and we’re looking for individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow with us. This isn’t just a seasonal job—it’s an opportunity to be part of a long-term vision for small-scale, regenerative farming in our region.

About Us:

Frisky Girl Farm, established in 2019, is a five-acre, woman-owned and operated vegetable and flower farm located in North Bend, Washington. We are committed to growing healthy food that builds healthy bodies, using sustainable practices such as cover cropping, composting, crop rotation, and organic pest control methods. Our produce is enjoyed by the local community through our customizable CSA program and farm stand.

Steel Wheel Farm, founded by first-generation farmers, is dedicated to improving the way produce is grown, harvested, and distributed. We believe that quality food begins with the farmer, and we provide only fresh, local, and naturally grown items to our community, including neighborhoods, farmers markets, chefs, and farm cooperatives.

Together, as we merge in 2025, we are combining our strengths to create a diversified vegetable and grain farm in Fall City, WA. Our mission is to be quality-driven, environmentally friendly, and stewards of the land, providing our community with high-quality, locally grown food.

What We’re Looking For:

We want team members who are interested in building a career in farming. If you’ve worked on farms before and are looking for a place to deepen your skills and grow with an expanding farm business, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Duties Include:
  • Greenhouse work: seeding, transplanting, and managing plant health

  • Field work: hand weeding, irrigation management, cover cropping, and soil prep

  • Equipment operation: using a walk-behind rototiller and power tools

  • Harvesting, washing, and packing produce for CSA, restaurants, and farmers markets

  • Small construction projects: building tunnels, irrigation systems, and farm infrastructure

  • Farm tasks shift with the seasons, in the spring we will be doing more seeding and transplanting, and in the summer the focus turns to weeding and harvesting.

What We’re Looking For:
  • One season of farm experience (or equivalent hands-on experience)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing conditions

  • Timeliness and good communication are important

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions

  • Driver’s license and vehicle access (public transit is limited)

  • Interest in long-term farming and sustainable agriculture

Job Details:

📅 Season: April 1 – October 30, 2025 (with potential for longer-term opportunities)
⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am-4pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
💰 Pay: $18–$20/hour DOE + plenty of farm-fresh veggies
🏡 Housing: Employees must secure their own housing (no on-farm housing available)

How to Apply:

Send your resume and a short statement about why you want to farm with us to friskygirlfarm@gmail.com. Qualified applicants will be invited for a working interview.

If you’re ready to build a future in farming and be part of an exciting new chapter in local agriculture, we’d love to meet you!
